This grounding and bonding assembly consists of a plier clamp on each end of a flexible， 20 foot stainless steel cable. The two aluminum plier clamps with 3/4 inch grip range have stainless steel points and 55 lb spring to ensure fast， positive metal to metal connection.
Stainless steel cables are 7x19 stranded， the ultimate in flexibility， durability， and corrosion resistance. Unlike cheaper steel wires， stainless cables are inherently spark proof. They can be used outdoors and with strong chemicals.
Draining or pouring liquids can build up static electricity in containers. Static sparks can cause explosion and fire. That's why OSHA requires bonding and grounding of drums， pails， and safety cans containing liquids with a flashpoint below 100º F.
