This plier clamp grounding assembly has consists of aluminum plier clamps with 3/4 inch grip range on each end of a stainless steel cable. The plier clamps have stainless steel points， and 55 lb spring to ensure a fast， positive， metal-to-metal connection through paint and corrosion build-up.
The 10 foot stainless steel cable is 7x19 stranded， the ultimate in flexibility， durability， and corrosion resistance. Stainless cables are inherently spark proof. They can be used outdoors and with strong chemicals.
Draining or pouring liquids can build up static electricity in containers creating static sparks that can cause explosion and fire. That's why OSHA requires bonding and grounding of drums， pails， and safety cans containing liquids with a flash point below 100º F.
